One of the inspiring things about the League of Landscape Photographers is how we are all ambassadors for nature. We are field soldiers in a way, out with camera in hand, observing both our subject matter and the behaviour of all creatures – the two-legged variety included. When we witness disrespect or disregard for natural things, sometimes our task is to observe and document. Sometimes our task is to speak gently, seizing a moment to offer up our belief that wonderful images can be made without trampling. Sometimes the people who need to hear about our ethics the most are other photographers.
League member Emma Lord describes her approach and recent experience in a post on her site, The Photographer’s Way. With ambassadors like Emma, we photographers can make a difference out in the world!
